Emergency Fueling

Paul Murray Oil Inc., has been a petroleum carrier for over 85 years, providing emergency fueling services for over 20 years. We began providing emergency fueling to corporate customers beginning in 1989 when Hurricane Hugo, a Category 4 hurricane, destroyed Charleston, South Carolina.
PMO has responded to every named hurricane or tropical storm that has made landfall in the southeastern U.S., from Texas to Maryland. We provide nationwide emergency fueling contracts that guarantee delivery of fuel for natural disasters from coast to coast, i.e., hurricanes, ice storms, earthquakes or large electrical grid outages similar to the ones in Chicago and New York in 2003.
In September 2005, Hurricane Katrina made landfall in Biloxi, Mississippi, causing widespread damage across the Gulf Coast, from Alabama to Texas. PMO responded to our customers’ needs by mobilizing over 80 trucks.
We provided fuel and kept over 100 emergency generators and 700 vehicles operating for 15 corporate customers in those states.
Even though local pipelines and fuel terminals were shut down for weeks, PMO maintained fuel supplies for our customers by transporting fuel from terminals around the South. We continued fueling until local pipelines and fuel terminals were restored.
We have built a network of support along with our corporate partners that will provide fuel supply, transports, tank wagons and workers when you need them the most. As the scenario above shows, local providers without a network of partners to move fuel, equipment and labor into the devastated area during a major storm or power outage may fall far short of corporate expectations.
PMO would like to have the opportunity to meet with you and discuss your existing emergency fueling plans or help develop a new plan that would keep your critical buildings up and running in an emergency.

We have been the leader in providing emergency fueling solutions across the country. Our emergency response team is there for:
  • 24/7 Emergency Generator Fueling
  • Emergency Fueling Stations
  • Emergency Fleet Fueling
  • Temporary Fueling Station for Fueling Employee Vehicles
  • And much more
